TBS JMUN Team participated in the 8th Annual Junior Model United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (JMUNESCO) conference held at a private school in Ankara. 7 of our secondary school students successfully represented Afghanistan in GC1- General Question & Program Support, GC2- Education, GC3- Natural Sciences, GC5-Communication & Information, SF1- International Security, SF2- Global Relationships and EB1- Human Rights commitees.
JMUNESCO simulates UNESCO, a specialized agency of the United Nations that aims to contribute peace and security by promoting international collaboration through educational, scientific, and cultural reforms.
JMUNESCO worked in the official language of the UNESCO which is English. The agenda items of JMUNESCO tackled current global issues with a vital importance. A conference of young delegates came up with unique and efficient solutions to these issues.
The theme of this year’s conference ‘’If Not Now, When?’’ focused on the urgency of these global conflicts and the necessity of part taking in finding solutions as soon as possible.
